Wayne Fox – Founder

After running several internet LAN gaming centres back in the early 2000s (when dial-up was still a thing and “lag” was a personal insult), Wayne’s passion for gaming has never faded. Still a regular player himself, he’s always missed the unique buzz of the classic LAN experience — the energy, the competition, and the real-life banter that online gaming just can’t quite replace (no mute button required).

These days, that passion has become a family affair. Wayne has introduced his kids to gaming, and they’ve quickly caught the bug — proving that gaming skills (and a competitive streak) might just run in the family… even if they’re starting to beat him more often than he’d like to admit.

Now, with Playtime rebooted for a second chapter, Wayne’s mission is simple: to create a fun, welcoming space where gamers of all ages can come together, level up, and enjoy the social side of gaming again. A place where friendships are formed, rivalries are settled (fairly… mostly), and everyone can get their gaming fix in a proper community setting.

Whether you’re a seasoned player, a casual gamer, or someone just looking to relive the glory days of LAN parties, Playtime is all about bringing people together — not just online, but side by side.
